Response ID

This functionality allows an external application (for example CRM or mailing system) to control the way single response ID is created and managed.

Available options :

  • Automatic
  • URL + auto
  • URL

NOTE. Options URL+auto and URL are available only for Simple/Link/URL distribution method.


This is default setting for all system users. The system automatically collects response ID. Response ID (rk) is created automatically as a survey link is activated and is visible in URL address bar.

MySurveyLab system enables (thanks to collector settings) survey collection management.

Example of usage:

Response collection with email, web link, Facebook.

URL + auto

This setting allows for partial control of response ID. To use it you will need to add at the end of URL following link : crk/your-id/

To set response ID :

         1. Choose the Collector and press Settings button.

         2. Choose the URL Link, Web Widget distribution method in BASIC CONFIGURATION.

         3. Next, go down this page and in Integration part, set Response ID parameter as URL + auto.

         4. Optionally, in field Jump to website (URL) add parameter {crk} / {rid}.
         5. Copy survey link and add crk/your-id/ at the end of URL.

NOTE. "Your-id" element for URL+auto setting can have 24 characters. URL must end with / sign.

The system will automatically add a random element to "crk" (a4r85j,your-id) to create response ID. Each respondent can answer only once for a single survey.

Example of usage:

Web site (eshop, blog) content rating with a single survey.


This setting provides full control over response ID. To use it you will need to add at the end of URL following link : crk/your-id/

NOTE. "Your-id" element for URL setting can have 64 characters and must be unique. URL must end with / sign.

There is only one answer possible for single "crk". We recommend to include a random element in each "crk".

Example of usage:

Integration with CRM system, mailing system, eshop or web portal.
