How to conduct 360 feedback surveys?

This is step by step manual for 360 surveys creation and management.

1. Create a CSV or XLSX file with contacts

Download an example .csv file

360-degree research starts with creating a .CSV or .XLSX (Excel) file with contacts, for example in Excel. The file has to contain a column "email" with unique emails for every contact.

2. Explanation of matrix

Example: will be evaluated by 5 people. The survey will be sent to the client,  subordinate, two coworkers and himself.

NOTE. Emails in the fields coworker, manager and subordinate can be separated by commas or enters. 

A table can be modified depending on your needs. The column order is optional. In order for the data to be imported correctly, you must enter the column names exactly the same as in the example.

3. Create a collector

To create a new collector go to "Collect responses" page and press the button +ADD COLLECTOR. Then choose option 360 feedback at the collector settings.

4. Import the Excel file with contacts

To import the Excel file with contacts :

  1. Press button Contacts.
  2. Press button ADD CONTACTS.
  3. Then press Import and choose the right file.
  4. After that, press button Preview to check if all the contacts have been imported correctly. If there are any errors with coding, change the method of coding and press IMPORT.

5. Verify and activate collector

To verify the correctness of previous steps, check if the number of contacts is the same as the number of planned survey dispatches.

If everything is correct, activate collector.

6. Piping

Piping (or data inserting), enables dynamic changes of the survey based on the given answers and data assigned to the contact. When creating piping for 360-degree surveys write {relatedCustom1} instead of {custom1}. This way system will know that it needs to insert data from a contact that is being assessed.

7. Logic

To create logic according to Relations, for example, to hide block "B4 Service" for contacts group "Clients":

1. Add logic Hide block, choose B4Service.

2. Press button +ADD EXPRESSION, and then CONTACT.

3. Choose Relation from the first list and Client from the second.
